The
best way to find a great coach is through a recommendation... |

When I chose to
do my first triathlon in 2006 I had no idea how to train. I would swim, bike,
and run for hours every week but saw little improvement. Starting in 2007,
Aimee designed a plan that helped me increase speed and endurance and recover
in between. Then adjusted the plan based on how I responded. In 2007 I raced
the same sprint triathlon as in 2006 and shaved 20 minutes from my time. The
difference was the coaching. |

I met Aimee in
a group training program 3 years ago, when I decided to do a sprint triathlon.
After that, I had an opportunity to be one of Aimee's athletes, and she has
coached me for the past 2 years. She helped me train for my first half
marathon, which I completed 15 minutes faster than I expected; and she helped
me train for an Olympic distance triathlon. Aimee pushes me more than I would
myself. She tailors my training program to what my goals are for the season
and gives me guidance on everything from dealing with an injury to nutrition.
All the races I have signed up for have had successful finishes, and I
attribute that to the plan Aimee lays out for me. |

I never really got a
chance to thank you since the Peak.... I felt so un-prepared for the whole
thing, but I think that is because I didn't feel like I had thought about my
training and such enough. However, that is a testimony to how well your
training schedule worked. I just did what you told me to do, and it turns out
I was prepared. Obviously not a stellar performance, but I finished and that
was the goal. I've never done anything like that before and I owe your
training a great deal of the credit. Thank you! |
